A published catalogue does not always put its data on the collection itself. Some file it on items inside the collection, one per scene, per date or per tile. Groundwork opens a collection like that into its items, newest first, and each item you pick becomes a layer of its own.

The format listed against each item decides what your team can do with it, the same way it does for a collection: GeoJSON can be edited on the device, GeoParquet shows a padlock, PMTiles and COG are drawn as a picture, and WFS saves back where its server allows it.

How to try it

  1. Create a map and choose STAC catalogue.
  2. Paste the catalogue URL and pick a collection.
  3. Where that collection files its data on items, pick the items you want.
