Single-feature links
Features now have their own Share, in the row of buttons under the title in the detail view. It opens a share window holding a link that opens the map with that feature selected and framed on it, which helps when pointing someone at the tree, the defect or the site you are talking about.
It includes the data source, filters and field choices, as the map’s own share link does. Your view does not: the map opens framed on the feature.
It only appears on features the link can name: ones whose ID comes from the data source, on a layer that loads from the map’s source. A feature you have just drawn on a local layer has neither, so its row has no Share button.
How to try it
- Open a feature’s details.
- Press Share in the row of buttons under the title.
- Paste the link into a private browsing window to see what a recipient gets.
Exploring features in the User Guide covers this in full.
