Shorter share links
A share link used to include every setting the map had, including the ones still on their defaults and the ones with nothing in them. Those are now left out, so the link is shorter and what remains in it is the configuration you actually chose.
Nothing changes about what the recipient gets. A setting left out of the link is one they keep their own value for, and the defaults are what they would have had anyway.
The shorter link is also easier to read before you send it. What this link includes still lists every part of your view with a tick box, so you can see and change what it includes.
How to try it
- Open the settings menu in the workspace header and press Share.
- Read What this link includes and untick anything you would rather not send.
- Copy the link and look at it: only the settings you changed are in there.
