← What's newsharingfor administrators

The share window now lists what you are about to send, grouped and readable. The map’s name, its data source and its background layers are always included. Below them sits a tick box each for the map extent, layer settings, filters, active layer and location.

Every box but Location starts ticked each time you open the window, so a link you narrowed once will not quietly narrow the next one. Location starts unticked because it can be a coordinate for where you are standing; the row shows the coordinates the link would include, with the address in brackets when one has been found, so you can check the point before sending it.

The link now includes your layer visibility, labels and colours too, so a recipient’s copy looks like the one you set up.

How to try it

  1. Open the settings menu in the workspace header and press Share.
  2. Open What this link includes and untick something.
  3. Copy the link and open it in a private browsing window.

Sharing your map in the Administrator Guide covers this in full.
