Selected features on top
A selected feature on a dense layer used to stay buried among its neighbours. The selected feature is now drawn above the others in its layer, so it stays visible where features sit on top of one another, and a selected point is drawn larger than its resting size.
Every feature is drawn with a casing, a thin outline in the background colour, which separates it from whatever is behind it, and the highlight is drawn all the way through the map’s animation to a feature.
Hover a row in the feature list and that feature’s tooltip appears on the map as well, so you can tell which one a row means without clicking it.
How to try it
- Find somewhere features overlap and click one.
- Hover a row in the feature list and watch the map.
- Select a feature from the list and watch the highlight hold while the map moves.
