Public GitHub repositories
Paste the address of a public repository into the GitHub panel, and press Open. What you paste decides what Groundwork publishes:
- The repository’s own address publishes its top folder.
- A link to a folder in the repository publishes that folder.
- A link to a
.qgsfile publishes the folder that holds it, and that project specifically.
A repository is read-only. The editing tools still show, but Groundwork cannot save your change, and lets you download it instead. GitHub limits how often one network can read public repositories without an account. If your network goes past that limit, Groundwork tells you.
How to try it
- Choose Create new map.
- Choose the GitHub tile.
- Paste the address of a repository, a folder in it, or a
.qgsfile. - Press Open.
Connect a data source in the Administrator Guide covers this in full.
