OGC API - Features is the successor to WFS, and you can now connect a map to it. Paste either of the two addresses that a service publishes, its landing page or its collections address. Groundwork finds the other.

The panel lists the collections with a filter box. Tick the collections that you want:

  • Features load as a layer of points, lines or polygons. Groundwork loads all of a collection that is small enough, and loads a larger collection over the current map view.
  • Imagery collections are marked Tiles, and Groundwork draws each one as an image from the service’s own map tiles.

You cannot edit either kind, so both show a padlock. If Groundwork cannot add a collection, the panel lists it with the reason beside it.

How to try it

  1. Choose Create new map.
  2. Choose the OGC API - Features tile.
  3. Paste the service’s landing page or collections address.
  4. Tick the collections that you want.
  5. Press the add button.
