Metric or US units
Settings has a Units choice.
- Metric gives metres, kilometres and hectares.
- US gives feet, miles and acres.
It applies everywhere a distance or an area is shown: travel distances in the Nearby list, route readings, and the measurement labels on lines and areas.
Metric until you choose otherwise. The choice is stored on your device, so it is not included when you share a map with someone else. Each person sees the units they picked, and an administrator setting up a map for a team does not decide this one for them.
How to try it
- Open the settings menu in the workspace header and find Units.
- Switch to US.
- Set a location and press Nearby: the distances are in miles.
