Live edits from teammates

← What's newediting

Groundwork now watches the map’s source while you have the map open. When a teammate saves and you have nothing on the go, your copy catches up on its own, with nothing to click.

If you are part-way through something, drawing, editing, or with a change of your own still saving, nothing moves under you. You pick their version up the next time they save, or the next time you open the map.

This runs on shared cloud folders. On other sources you still get the current data every time the map loads, which is how it has always worked.

How to try it

  1. Open the same shared map on two devices, or in two browser windows.
  2. Edit a feature in one and save it.
  3. Watch the other copy: the change appears without a reload.

Capturing and editing features in the User Guide covers this in full.
