Layer styling
You can now choose how a layer is drawn. A layer’s ⋮ menu has a Style row. Open it and you’ll see the styles published with the map, then None, then the layer’s own fields below a line.
Pick a published style or None and the layer redraws to match. Pick a field instead and every distinct value gets its own colour, and the legend, the icons in the feature list and the filter panel all update with it. A field only appears here when it has a workable number of distinct values, and the same data always comes out the same colours, on every device.
The choice is saved for that layer, and the map’s share link now includes it, so the person you send it to sees the same styling you left.
How to try it
- Open a layer’s ⋮ menu and choose Style.
- Pick one of the styles listed, or None for a single plain colour.
- Pick one of the fields below the line to colour every value instead.
Exploring features in the User Guide covers this in full.
