Cloud folder browsing
A map connected to cloud storage used to need a share link for the folder, created first and pasted in. Now you sign in to Dropbox from the connect step and browse your own folders, picking either a QGIS project inside one or the folder itself.
That removes the need to make the container folder shareable at all. A folder of maps can stay entirely private while each map folder inside it has its own sharing, which matters on Dropbox plans where a folder inside a shared folder cannot be shared separately.
A folder with no .qgs file in it works too: Groundwork reads the GeoJSON it finds, picking up a matching style file where there is one.
How to try it
- Create a map and choose Dropbox in the connect step.
- Click Connect to Dropbox and sign in: a one-off.
- Browse to the folder holding your project and pick the
.qgsfile, or the folder itself.
