Changing a record
An open record has an Update button in the same corner a feature’s sits in. Press it and the record’s values become editable, with a tick to save and a cross to stop.
Two things stay put, each marked with a padlock: the field tying the record to its feature, and any field holding the record’s own id. Everything else can be changed. Saving writes the record back to the map’s data.
Where Groundwork cannot tell a set’s records apart the button is not there, and a note above the record’s fields asks you to have your administrator give each record its own id.
How to try it
- Open a feature, pick one of its tabs, and press a record.
- Press Update at the bottom right.
- Change a value and press the tick.
Exploring features in the User Guide covers this in full.
