Bookmarks on the map

← What's newappearance

Bookmarks used to exist only in the feature list. A bookmarked feature now gets a small badge on the map itself: against the symbol on a point, at the middle of a line, at the centre of an area, and on each piece of a feature drawn in several parts.

Where the layer is showing labels, a bookmarked feature’s label is drawn bolder, and where labels sit too close together for all of them to fit, the bookmarked one keeps its place while the others give way.

Badges appear on every layer you have switched on. They are not limited to the one you are working in.

How to try it

  1. Bookmark a feature from its row in the list, or from the top of its details.
  2. Look at the map: the badge sits against the symbol.
  3. Switch the layer’s labels on and compare a bookmarked feature’s label with its neighbours.

Exploring features in the User Guide covers this in full.
